If you are a presenter, festival director, library, concert promoter, or event coordinator, this opportunity is one you will not want to miss. Here is what folks are saying:

...it was absolutely fabulous, well prepared, highly informative and inspirational - indeed I believe it was the best workshop I've ever taken - and I've participated in many. Geraldine Buckley

For three days we gather the participants together for a fun, but very intense time of coaching and teaching. Using group sessions and break out sessions we cover a multitude of topics including:
  • Marketing yourself as an artist
  • Using humor to soften hard topics
  • Finding yourself on stage
  • Memory mapping and story building
  • Creating Tall Tales from personal experiences
  • Alternative avenues of income for the storyteller
  • Folk and Fairy tales as speaking tools
Times of one on one coaching with the tellers as well as group telling/coaching. Late night dessert discussions and meals taken together round out this time of networking and building relationships. Also included in the weekend is a final concert entitled, "Up Close and Way Too Personal" featuring new material from Andy, Kim and Bil. For more information on how to attend one of these workshops or how to bring this workshop to your area, email us at uncalledfortour@gmail.com, or you can give us a call at 540-449-1458.

The Uncalled for Tour is back from Idaho (brrr....) and gearing up for a trip to sunny Georgia. The inaugural tour date in Rexburg went fabulously. The Snow Theater was filled with a lively crowd and the show ended with a standing ovation! Bil, Kim and Andy endured delayed flights, cancelled flights, blizzards and moose. With only several hours of sleep and jet lag tugging at their rears they hit the stage with enthusiasm. The end result was a symphony of story, laughter, singing, and dancing. That's right folks, you read that correctly...dancing. Bil Lepp premiered his talents as an interpretive dancer. This little bit of news should bolster ticket sales....

Some people along the way have asked us if we are breaking new ground. Who knows? Maybe, maybe not. Lots of artists travel in groups and do shows. Storytellers converge on various festivals and perform together on a regular basis. We may be different in the fact that we are traveling together and we created this show and pitched it to various theaters. So, maybe we are turning up a spade full of new earth...but to us, that is not the important thing. The important thing for us is that we introduce storytelling to the general public.

If you look over our print material, our emails and our blog, you will see that the word storytelling takes a backseat. The general subculture of storytelling knows who we are and they will come see us, and we thank them for that. But the average person walking down the street has no clue to who storytellers are, what they do, and how they do it. So hopefully we are enlightening the masses. Okay, maybe not the masses, but maybe a handful of people will become storytelling junkies after they see the show....and realize we do not read books to children.
